JSON to CSV converter

Turn a JSON array of objects into a CSV file you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server.

Shortcuts

How the conversion works

Each object in the array becomes a row. Column headers are the union of every key, and nested objects are flattened with dots (team.id). Arrays are written as JSON text in a single cell. Values containing commas, quotes or line breaks are quoted per RFC 4180.

Frequently asked questions

Is my JSON sent to a server?

No. Parsing and formatting happen in your browser with the built-in JSON parser.

How large a file can it handle?

Several megabytes is fine on most devices. Very large files (100 MB+) may be slow because everything is held in memory.

Does sorting keys change my data?

No. It only reorders object keys alphabetically; array order is preserved.
